News in The Retreat!

Here is som news in The Summer Retreat!  I bought a wicker chair and a table made in metal,it´s really cute i think. I also bought som more china, this is in turqouise and white and I love this kind of design. I´ve more of it as you can see in the pic down under in the cabinet, but in another colours. I just think it´s fit in great to this house.The water melon is canes that I just cut, but the strawberrycake are made by me from sculpey..

Here i painted another side table, but this one was white. Its perfect washstand to the bedroom.

The laundy basket are made by Eva and I just love the dark brown colour.

Here I put some  printed paper, with roses,  in the cutlery drawer and doown here I got som new wooden spoons and a wine bottel to use when cocking...

Here you see my china in the cabinet, I´ve got pink, blue and turqouise.There is also som napkins and in the bottom a lot of tasblecloths.

Here is my quilts in different shapes...I am still trying to make them and I am not so pleased about the resoult yet...but I´m working on it!

I won second price!!

I have particiapate a competition that a swedish toy webshop Lekmer , they

has arrangeed about the best dollhouses. I read about it in a swedish interior magazin Family Living and also in Mama and send some pictures of my dollhouses.

I won the second pricie!!

I think it´s fantastic! The price was a gift certificate for a thousand swedish crowns to spend in their webshop.

They don´t have any miniatures in scale 1:12 just dollhouses and furnitures in the smaller scale 1:16 for children.

The sell the swedish dollhouse Lundby, who started 1947, and proberly all swedish girls have played with one sometime. I also had one and bought a new for my children.

We have the dollhouse Lundby "Stockholm" and some new modern furniture and now I order some more furnitures to put in there thats missing. Just for collecting - my children are to old for play with it now.

In the small package there is a tiny espresso maker that I love! The green chairs are so nice and a big flatscreen TV and a white carpet.
To the bathroom i bought a new sink and I am going to buy the jacuzzi and the shower as you can see in the picture down here.

News In The big Dollhouse Cabinet

I have made more pictures in different coloures, this is from my big dollhouse cabinet.

In the bedroom I only put in a new pillow, that I dont think I show you.I still need to finish my bed in there...

 Here is the top hall, I used an old silver frame that I bought in a flea market.The candlesticks should be in silver but it lookes more like gold in the picture.

Here is the hall in the ground floor, I think the divan fit well here. Next to do in this cabinet is to make cornices and rafters. On the wall by the stairs I will be putting lots of small pictures of family pictures.

Tired Cat!

Here is my sweet cat, who can sleep where ever he likes! He is were we are because he likes company.
In the tops pics he sleep in my box contains printpaper, sorry for show you my trash bin on the table....

More blue painting!

I have painted this furniture with the same blue as the frames that i show in the last post.

You have probebly already figured it out that this is my favorite colour...

Paintings

I´ve bought this paintings last summer in Gotland and totaly forget about them until now.

They are painted by a women called Inger Gärdeklev fromVisby in Gotland, and are reproductions printed on paper. She had larger sizes also, but I chose the smallest in miniature - of course!

The pictures depict lambs and white small stone plastered houses that is typical of Gotland.

I have made frames and painted it all in blue - my favorite coloure!

Lamps

I have made some lamps from beads and paper and fabric. Some of them are working electric, but a few is fake!

I bought a lampkit from Little Trimmings , the cute Panda bear and they also have kits so you can use your own base. I have used different kinds of beads in all sizes.

Today´s work!

This is what I have been doing today!

I´ve got this Swedish miniature magazin with the mail a few days ago and I got the tutoral of making shoe shine box from there.

I used balsawood, cut it and polished it for the shoe tree and a stick of a bit from a guitar string and on the top a tiny piece of sculpey.

The shoe brush are made from balsa and black felt fabric, finnaly the boxes of shoe polish was prinded in the magazin, I just cut it out and glued on a tiny piece of wood.

The white box are made of ice cream sticks and the polishing cloth are shaped by glue and water.

I soiled the cloth with a charcoal, so it would looke like its used...
