Boxes tutorial

Here I show how I make boxes. I found this ruler with the circles that I thought that you would use to cut out the pattern from scrapbook paper.

I wanted the motifs on the patterns centered on the lids to my boxes.

I have cut out a narrow strip to be glued to the lid and a wider strip to use for the box.

I have bent the strips by pulling gently with my fingers. You can also use a pen and shape the paper against your thigh.

Make the box a little smaller than the lid so that it is easy to put on it when finished.

When you glued the box in the right size and it has dried, so you glue it on a white sheet, which you then cut the shape as you can see in the picture below.

You can use sandpaper for a smoother, finer edges.

If you wish, you can decorate the boxes with satin ribbon or embroidery yarn.
I have used decorative sequins in plastic that I bought in the swedish Panduro.

The white ribbons in the picture comes from Little Trimmnings, that has lots of decorations for miniature crafts.
