LED battery lights...

I have bought some LED battery lights for The Arthur dollhouse.

They require no wiring so I can move them around everywhere in the house and they are easy to put on and off. I had not thought of pulling electricity in this house, but now I can actually have lights anyway.Its an incredibly good idea, so now is the problem with wires to electricity in the doll houses over...It is a very cozy glow inside the rooms now, I really like it!

Cushions & Paintings

I have made some new cusions, printed crowns and texts on linen. This sofa is a bit big for this room, I just borrowed it for the picture.

I also painted some frames in white, that I places in a group.

I usually check out this page for inspiration for interior design and discovered that they have different themes for different interests. So naturally I was looking for dolls houses and found several of my pictures there, which is of course very flattering.

There are lot of nice pictures and lots of inspiration. Some of the pictures, I feel already recognized from other bloggers but I have discovered many new blogs. So take a look you too!

This is one of my favourite dollhouses, The Liza´s Cottage. I really enjoy building it! The garden was a new experience to create. Do you like to see more pics clic here!

The Arthur House in Progress...

I have worked a bit with the Arthur House and here you see the kitchen counter. I bought a green one that i painted white and I have borrowed a stove from my big cabinet. I have not decide yet if I will have a modern stove or a slightly older model.

I´have made some potatoes from sculpey as well...

Here is a spot from the living room. I have a new cabinet and I also made a redone of a brown sofa, that I painted white and swithed to a new fabric.

Next thing to do is to sew curtains and putting up more pictures...

I would need a carpet of course, do you have any suggestions?

You have already seen the bathroom but it´s a few new details in here as the mirror ,that I picked from my old Lundby dollhouse, it was in a perfect size.

Then there is a toothbrush holder and a glass from Chrysnbon.

The Fourth Sunday of Advent

Today is the fourth Sunday of Advent and here you see my candles and blue christmas boxes that I made a few years ago.

I also made some new red boxes and a couple of wreaths.

The Arthur House

The work is proceeding slowly with the Arthur house... here is the bathroom almost finished.

It is missing only a few small details such as towels and a small mirror above the sink.

Maybe there also should be a bathroom carpet .

The bathroom furniture are the Chrysnbon kit that I orderd from USA. It was really easy to built and then I painted it. It is plastic, but you really can´t see that when its finished.

I have also made a stair railing to the bedroom and painted a drawers white.

This house is quite small and difficult to decorate, so all the furniture does not fit. This drawer was perfect in size. It has to be in scale 1:12, furniture in scale 1:10 doesn´t fit at all...they are too big!

Bathroom walls finished!

The bathroom walls are now finished and at the same time I also made half panel in the kitchen.

I still waiingt for the bathroom kit, i hope it comes this week.

I decided to change the wallpaper in the kitchen. Here you can see s sample with turquoise stripes, but I am not sure yet. I have not decided the style of the stove and countertops... its very small in this room, so it makes it harder to decorate so everything fits.

My Baby Roombox

I have made a new baby roombox and some new toys as well. You have maybe already seen the crib and the drawer, I have shown pictures of them earlier. I have made the pictures on the wall of wooden sticks ( the one you get at McDonalds when you order coffee...)

Some of the toys did I bought a long tome ago, I have made the doll pram, the panda teddy and the pink figure that are suppose to look like Babar (!)

The blind as made of iron-on motifs, that I create and reduced in my computor. It´s a swedish pattern from Sandberg called Saga.

The floor cusions is filled with decor sand, so the are easy th shape.

The tiny doll bed is bought at the Stockholm ministure show, that is handmade, but I don´t remember who I bought it from...

The fabric that I have sewed the quilt, in the crib, is bought from Mia at "Mini Smått å sånt", that she has printed on fabric.

In the end you can see the blanket in the doll bed, its a bit fabric that Eva gave me a long time ago.

I made this room unisex, its not a typicle girls or boys room.

Work in Progress...

I am finally done with the floor in the bathroom in The Arthur house.

I have used egg carton that I cut in squares, painted them i two different grey colours, glued them on the floor. Then I used plaster to fill between the tiles.

The last step was that I painted all with lacquer, which is not so shiny, for getting a bit glossy finish.

I cant decide if I´ll have half panel in white painted wood or just strips...What do you think?

I am also waiting for the bathroomkit from Chrysnbon, that I ordered some days ago...

The Porch

I have set my new wicker chair and chest, that I bought from Eva at the Stockholm ministure show, at the porch at the Summer Retreat...

I also got light indoor as you can see at the third picture.

It is now a soft and cozy glow inside!

Loaded with food...

I have now loaded the new refrigirator with a lot of food. I have made the green sallad, beetroot and the tomatoes from sculpey. The leek, mushrooms and the cucumber is cane that I bought a long time ago.

The salami/ pepperoni is also a cain that i sliced an wrapped in plastic, as the other vegetables.

Gift & Swap!

I have a swap with Marina from Portugal at La Belle Cuisine and she send me this beatutiful items.

The sewingbasket will fit in great in my newest roombox, that I show in my last post.

It contains yarns, threat, buttons ans a pair of scissiors.

The signs are adorable, a bit cracked and really shabby chic. Thanks again, Marina! I love them all!

I also get a surprise gift from sweet Birgitta, who I met in the Stockholm show again.

She know that blue is my favourite colour , so she bought this great urns for me.

She had made the icecream glasses and the black "iron"candleholder by her self.

There is an article written about her inside the newspaper, thats really funny.

My Sewing Room

I have made a small roombox with a sewing room. You may have seen the cabinet earlier, I made that a while ago. I bougt the yarn and blue buttons on the miniature show, all the other tings are made by me - except for the furniture, that I just painted white.

This preparations tray, flour, cakes and unbaked cakes was one of several purchases from Mia at

Minismått å sånt. She sold out all of her furnitures for half price and I bought a lot, as you can see at the picture at the bottom.

This refrigerator is aslo from her shop and this is just what I´ve looked for to my kitchen in the bif cabinet.

I just need to buy some plastic boxes for the vegetables - do anyone know where I can find such?

I bought this beutiful handmade wicker chair and coffert from Eva, the ball of yarn from Britt, the tiny buttons and ribbon packing from a danish exhibitor, who I dont remember the name of.

The tiny snowmen bead are from Cilla / Minst. She had made a beautiful lamp of a snowman like this, but I´ll use mine for christmas decoration just the way they are.

Here is a wooden box made of an old swedish model, the package of milk are also made from old models, that i remember from my childhood. I could not resist them....Its made by Gerd Carlsson (Miniatyrvärlden)

Here comes some pictures from the Stockholm miniature show! I didn´t get so much time to take pictures, just a few...At the top you see my table and items that I sold.

I have made more cushions..

These are for my new house in shabby chic style, The Arthur dollhouse.

Theay are copied from my big cusions in my bedroom.

For making theese I have used iron-on T-shirt paper, that you can print your self.

I turn the text into the computer so it will be reversed in printing. I then used the iron to transfer it to the fabric.

I have made some new cushions in a swedish designed fabric by Josef Frank. I reduced the pattern in my computor and printed it out.

They are in different fabrics and sizes but I dont know if the fabric is in the correct scale.

The Arthur In Progress...

The work with the Arthur House is a slow progress...

There is wallpaper in all rooms, except the bathroom.

The windows are done and I have now decided to decorate the house in french shabby chic style.

I already made the furintures and pots, so they fit in really well in here...I know the exterior of the house is a bit american style, but I guess I can mix it with french details...

Here is the bedroom, I really like a small metal bed, black or white. If you got any suggestions where I can buy one please let me know! I also look for a great bathtube on lions paws - do anyone now where I can find that?

Here you see the kitchen - still in progress...I am going to try to build countertops and a sink.

New Shelves!

I have made some new shelves for some of my roomboxes. I bought the consoles

from IKEA , where I also found great spotlight with batteries to put under every shelves.

Redecoration of the Paint Shop!

Painting and redecoration of the paint shop! I have dusting off my old paint and wallpaper shop, fixed the walls inside the shop with plaster for a new fresh look.

I aslo have rearranged the furnitures and the shelves and mede some new wallpaper samples.

Behind the wooden cornice and under the shelves I have put lightings - I´ll show you later on how it looks in the evening!

Here is the outside and one if the two display windows...

Here is the office area...I see now that I have to fix a detail, the seat of the chair seems to fall off...

I made these wallpaper books a long time ago - there is a lot of different samples of wallpaper that I found at internet and then reduse into scale 1,12. Most of them are swedish design...

In the box at the floor I have wallpaper for the children room, Beatrix Potter and Designers Guild´s newest

collection for kids.

My refrigerator has transformed to a pantry instead, I decide to order a new modern refrigirator to this kitchen- that really looks like one too...because this one looks like a cabinet...

The Summer Retreat

Here, in my summer retreat, I have placed the gifts from Teresa. At the coffert you can see the cake tin and the cookies inside. The sewingbasket at the floor contains tiny button maps, ball of yarn in sweet pastel colours...The wooden box for the garden contains seeds, gloves, etc...

Here in the kitchen you can see the ceramic pot, with the tools for the kitchen. I love all the new items and think they fit great in here.

I also have a new bed and I have made hatboxes and tiny boxes with roses.

A New Project - The Arthur!

I really don´t know how this happend, but I do now have a new project called "The Arthur"! It is an dollhouse from Green Leaf , I found it on the swedish e-bay and couldn´t resist to give a bid...

And today I picked it up in the city an hour trip by car from where I live.

The sweet girl who sold it, did already all the hard work gluing it together and finished the boring work with the tiles... I have now painted it with white colour and inside at the ceilings. I just need to add a new floor at the porch and maybe put stone (egg carton) at the ground.

I do really found a great renovation project and I love it!

Tomorrow the fun work will start, select wallpaper, colours, shades and interior style...

What style should I choose, a romantic, rustic, american folk art, french shabby chic or modern?

I beleive I have to think for a few days before I decide what I create.

I promise I will show more pics soon!

I have made some winecoolers in shabby chic style. The one containing ice and a winebottle are just for show ...that will be placed in one of my dollhouses...

I also bought a madonna statue today at an interior design shop, it was rather tiny - so I thought that it would be great in my interior shop!

I found this lovely silver dog and the wooden elephant at the fleamarket and I think both fit in this house.

I also bought a bottle of red wine and a couple of glasses.

Here you see a new lap top - of course it is white! I have made the day planner/ calender in black leather.

I also bought an urn in a lovely blue colour that I have in the bedroom in the Brookwood house.

I don´t know where in the room I shall place it - What do you think?

I just want to show you som new pictures on details on the Liza´s Cottage.

At the firts picture you see the sink that I made from balsa wood and printed tales. The stove is also made from balsa...On the white cabinet there is real spices in the tiny glass jars at the top, olive oil and bisquits. Then there is flower, cacoa and green olives in the glass jars in the top shelf.

Cans, cereal packaging in old labels...

At the table you can see my waffles that I made from sculpey a long time ago.

The bed, thats really just a mattres, is unmade. The cover is wrinkled just so it looks like someone slept there a minute ago.

Spring Is Here!

Finally the spring is here in Sweden! The sun is shining and I have planted and worked in the garden.

Of course I also spend time for miniatures...

I have bought some new furniture that I redone with white colour. The sofa have new paint and fabric. I also saw pillows, the fabric with roses are printed by Mia.

I also redone the chair with new paint and I have printed the fabric.

Here comes new pics of my firts dollhouse! There is only a few new things... I painted the chair in the sewing room white, there is a new iron board with new fabric that I bought at the Stockholm miniature show. I also made a photo album with the same fabric.

The bedroom is still in green colour, the ottoman with Josef Frank fabric fits very well in there...

I have also made new blinds ,in the sitting room, in french shabby chic style.

I have repaint the cabinet in the Green Gate shop. I thought it was too gray before and I painted it in light turquoise/ blue and I do like it better now.

I just want to say welcome to all new followers!

There is amazing 677 followers now and I am so glad and overwhelmed for that. I spended a long time trying to make a post earlier today, where I wrote your name and linked to your blogs. Suddenly all text just disappeared from the screen and of course I had not time to save what I wrote. Such times I just dislike blogger and all technology that I dont understand.

So I give up and show you a pic of the gifts from Britt instead. She gave me this cabinet and the apron. I am going to use this items in a garden shed that is one of my on going projects.

New items in the Green Gate Shop

I just love my new bowl in turquoise that you see on the left. I also filled the glass bowl behind with some soaps in pink. In the unr in the middle contain the new hydrangea.

On the floor you can see the big bowls that can be used as bird bath.

The footstool are redone with new fabric and it was red stripe and white from the beginning.

This is what I bought at the miniature show i Stockholm. The wallpaper and the fabric is printed by Mia in "Mini smått å sånt". She also made the beautiful heart in the white urn in the table and the non electric lamp. I just love those items!

I also bought a modern iron, a lots of china, two glass of red wine, flowers, wooden decorations and an armchair in blue and white stripes.I couldn´t resist it!

I also got a gift from sweet Britt, a beautiful cabinet that she had made by her self and an apron. She know that blue are my favourite colour! I am so glad for those items!

Stockholm Miniature Show /miniatyrmässa

I just went back home from the miniature show in Stockholm and here you can see some picture.
In the top you can see my table and the new following two pictures are Maria´s shabby chic miniatures.

Here you can see miniatures in scale 1:48 and 1:12 made by Siv Fors. Beutiful wicker furnitures and houses in a very tiny scale.

Here you can see Ruth´s wonderful Pettson House, made from a swedish child storybook called "Pettson & Findus".(Findus is the cat!)

This roombox are made by Gia and its a copy of a studyroom of a friend of hers.She had copy the books that in real life was lying on his table.

Here you can see Sigrid´s library. Its fantastic details too see, real leather books in the bookshelves. The dolls are just adorable! I just love the Brio toy and the electric train in the front.

Here you see Annie Ekström´s table´contains beutiful english miniatures.

I have made new clothes for the doll, it turned out to be a chic Chanel look...it just happened!

I dont know if I shall give her buttons or not...She doesn´t really fit in this shop, I am going to let her work in the Shabby Chic boutique instead.

News for the New Shop!

I have made some news for the Green Gate Shop. New fabrics in pastel colors and new pots with Tilda decorations. I bought the bed to have in the shop, but it was bigger than I thought so it didnt fit. I am going to use it in the bedroom in my Summer Retreat instead.

Renovate the Toy´s shop

I had to make a small renovation in my Toy´s shop. Something did happend to the wallpaper that starting to falling down... Maybe because I had this roombox in my store in the basement, where it a bit cold in the winter and warm in the summer. The glue that I used for tha wallpaper must have been drying in some way!

It still a bit bubbly wall , but it´ll do.

I also make new display windows with text in pastel colorsand above that new marquise!

Making floor!

New Signs

Most of these vegetables and fruits are made a long time ago, you may have seen pics of them before.

I now have made new tomatoes and some signs...I still doesn´t know what to do with all this stuff, It doesn´t fit in a small roombox so I have to make one by myself later on.

Trees in pots!

I made these trees and put them in pots that I found at the flea market. The dust is coffee and I can tell you that it smells great! These are going to stand outdoor to the Green Gate shop.

Redone Armchair...

I have redone this armchair with a new fabric, the same as the footstool that I already made.

I also printed some new pictures and glued them on small pice of wood.

Here you see pictures of my big cabinet, how it looks today and how it looked when I bought it.

I also wanted to show pictures so you can see several rooms on the same image. As you already know, there is more work to do. The kitchen still need more benches...and several pictures of my kids in the hall.

I have made some new items to the big cabinet. There is hatboxes to the bedroom and a new floor in the laundry.I also have a new wallpaper border in the nursery, with Beatrix Potter motif.

Another footstool...

I have made a footstool or an ottoman -I dont really know what to call it...

Here you can see what I used for making it -

I always use balsa wood , becouse its easy to cut with a knife or use a pair of scissors. I cant deal with a saw, the results are never good.

Then I used wood glue, printed fabric and foam that i cut the edges for a better shape. I just glued the fabric on the balsa and the foam.I used wooden beads as feet.

The fabric is originally a swedish design of Josef Frank that I printed out on freezepaper in a miniature size on the pattern.

I keepworking on the new roombox...I have now painted the buffet in palegreen and made som bread boxes and plates. I also made my first birdhouses!

Lexington Showroom

Finally I am done with the Lexington roombox! I show you pictures a long time ago of some items that I had made then.

I see now that the letters on the wall are falling down or something, because they do not set straight!

There is beddings in packages on the shelf, carpets standing leaning on the floor to the left, blankets, placemats, mores beddings in the big basket, bedspread, cuisons...

In the shelf i the middle - bath towels and more cusions! In the white baskets - rolled hammocks, cusions and blanket... Of course there also must be price tags!

Now I just need som kind of spotlights...

I´ve got the inspiration from the local interier shop and of course from all countless interier design blogs.

We have as a project in the Swedish miniature club to make furnitures and this is what I made so far.

I found the fabric on the matress at my parents home, it used to be a doll clothes from the 1970´s that a cut apart. Then I bought some new fabrics too and saw some cusions. The bed is made of balsa, just as the small table.I tried to make a copy of the IKEA table "Lack"...

More pictures of my cottage!

Here comes more pictures of my Liza´s Cottage! This was a project that I started in the beginning of last year and theese pics was taken in august or september. (Now its a lot of snow outdoor here in sweden...)
It was really fun to make this tiny cottage. Its suppose to be a non electric house, there is only kerosine lamps and a LPG stove. You can see the blue bottle of petrolium gas right, next to the sunflowers.
I have built the stove and the kitchen zink from balsa. The tiles above are printed paper, the waffels on the table are made from sculpey. The white cabinet its filled with old foodpackaging and the spices on top are real spices from my kitchen.

I´ve got a Honorable Mention!!!

A New Roombox In Progress...

I have made a new interiorshop, this one I am going to decorate with pastel colours. I did move these items out from my "Shabby Chic" interiorshop and now I have two shop´s.
You may have seen some of the things before, but there is a few news...I have made this footstool and next thing to do is an armchair in the same fabric. The wrappingpaper and the basket in the corner and some of the pots in the shelf are news.

Dusting off my first roombox...

I have dusted the old roombox that was the first one I´ve made. I have make a few changes, there is some new pictures with black painted frames ,a new quilt that was a gift from Birgitta long time ago.

It´s a bit swedish inspirated with the colours. The fabric on the cushions and the blind in the window is a swedish old print , just like the wallpaper in the kitchen.

They are handprinted and I bought them from Skala Minimal.

The cutting board on the wall in the kitchen is a miniature copy of "Rörstrands Picknick" designed at 1950. I didn´t made that myself, I bought it somewere that I dont remember now.

Silver and Leather...

I have made some new items for the interior shop! Here You see some silverframes and crowns that originally are jewellery. The boxes with the magazines are made of black leather. I made them in different sizes and the biggest can be used to have firewood.
The small pot in the photo in the top are just black paper, cut from the border punch, just like the zink pots that I show in an old post.

News in the Interior Shop

I have make some changes in my interior shop. There is some new things that I have made and a few lovely gifts that looks great in here. I maked all the items in a shabby chic theme - that is also the name of this shop, as you can read at the window at the front.

I have made new pictures in siver frames, printed pillows and tiny soaps.

I have a few days off work so I got some time for miniatures. This is what I aranged in my new cabinet that I bought to the sewing room. I got the idea from somebody I dont remember in internet, to use a cabinet like this to the fabrics. I also made a billboard from a golden frame that I painted white.

Here is some details in my big cabinet. The candles on the coffietable was made last year, from sculpey. The numbers are printed and glued to the pots.

The pillow in the masterbed is swedish design from Josef Frank, that I had printed and sawn.

Redone Furnitures

I have make some redone of furnitures that was brown from the beginning. Them frame was gold and looked very plastic from start and I just paited it in white and printed a new picture.

The pillows with the crowns are also printed fabric.

I have finally printed some miniature fabric! I did the pattern in scale 1:12 ( maybe not exactly the correct scale...) from real fabric designed by Josef Frank. I saw some pillows and made a footstool.

This is what I have sent to Britt! Lexington beddings in packages and Green Gate boxes for her miniature interier shop!

This is what I got from her, a lot of nice vintage printies and beads to make lamps, a stichery kit to make a tiny pillow with a cute bear. She also had make a cite stiched flower - so tiny!

The long, pastel things in the front are candle lights that I can cut in small pieces.

Here is a picture where You can see the cabinet in its entirety. Its a bit messy inside because I am still working on the decoration. I am making frames with photos of my children that I shall put up on the hall wall.
You can see the cabinet doors on the right side in the picture, when they are closed you can´t imagine that its an dollhouse inside...

I got this beutiful thing from Petra in Holland in our Christmas swap that we have in the mini club. All of the items are handmade by her and in the tiny bolls /bags in the purple basket contain real lavendel and it smells lovely.
